I will be posting the results of each round of The Great Matt Cardle Scavenger Hunt, being played on the Digital Spy Matt Cardle Appreciation Thread...
Here are the rules/logistics:
The Great Matt Cardle Scavenger Hunt, or Something To Pass The Time While We Wait For Matt’s Album
This game will take place over ten weeks (or more, if I’m further inspired). Participants will race against the clock to find the items corresponding to the clues I have given. Results will be cumulative, with a grand champion crowned at the end (hopefully that will give me enough time to come up with a suitable prize!).
On Friday, I will post the introduction to the week's game on this thread. Those interested in playing can then PM me to receive the specific clues. Time will be measured from when I send you the clues to when you send me back all your items. For this reason, don't PM me until you are ready to start playing!
Play is open until 11:59 pm GMT on Tuesday. Keep in mind, however, that since I'm in a time zone five hours behind most of you, I will likely be asleep if you PM me before noon!
I will not be checking your answers until the round closes on Tuesday, therefore please ensure that...
a) you have read the instructions carefully
b) all the links are correct - you can do this by clicking "Preview Message" before you send!
Scoring
To receive any points, you must provide all right answers for the main (i.e. non-bonus) clues. Playing the bonus is optional.
Points will be awarded as follows:
All right answers = 5 points
Bonus = 2 points
Time = inverse to ranking*
*This depends on the number of players. For example, if there are twelve players, the one with the slowest time receives one point and the fastest receives twelve. Therefore, the more people who play, the more points there are up for grabs!
Since points are cumulative and include a number of variables, I would encourage you to play even if you expect to miss one or two rounds. Plus, it'll be fun!
Rankings will be announced - and the items scavenged revealed - on Wednesday.
